Day Trips & PACK TRIPS

Additional Information

Black Mountain Outfitters offers unforgettable day horseback trips (with lunch) on trail-wise horses in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness and Yellowstone National Park.

Scott is Montana Outfitter #984, and we are authorized to operate under special permit of Gallatin National Forest. We are authorized to serve the public in Yellowstone by the Department of the Interior, National Park Service concessionaire contract YELL-117-16.

HORSEBACK DAY RIDES

Day rides require a four-person minimum to book the trip. We take day rides from early June through the end of August.

Fish amazing high mountain lakes or simply enjoy the ride through fantastic wild country. Your day ride will be special-made for your dreams. Sack lunch, water, and outstanding memories are included.

HORSEBACK MULTI-DAY PACK TRIPS
Back-country camping trips in Buffalo Fork wilderness camp require a four-person minimum group to book, with a 10-person maximum.

It is an eight-mile ride to our super-comfortable deluxe tent camp complete with carpet, sauna and shower, full-course meals, and comfortable cots with foam pads.

Fish the pristine stream for sparkling rainbow trout, or ride through incredible vistas to nearly 10,000 feet with breath-taking views.

Relax around the campfire in star-lit evenings. Plan for three to five days for your family or company trip and take a break from civilization for complete renewal.
